Reboot

I work on hardware systems and I have never understood the significance of the word “reboot” that I did these days. Any core configuration change requires a reboot, a smallest service reconfiguration requires a reboot. Basically system requires a reboot to adapt new changes and remove any residual which are no longer used.

So you see, the reboot a natural way of systems. When was the last time we rebooted ourselves? when was the last time we re-thought the whole sequence of what is important in out lives? I never did, or maybe I did—we call it realignment. realignments are triggered by the small rejections and little troubles we face everyday. and they are good. We should take this opportunities to re-align because we won’t get so many. But what I am talking about is a reboot.

To trigger a reboot, we need to go through a radical change in life, which takes us beyond re-alignment sequence to reboot sequence and believe that this sequence does not come very often but when they come, we should be prepared to identify what it is, of course we will take a time to grieve and blame but eventually know that this is a time to reboot. Question everything and re-organise priorities. Think about things to keep rather than thinking about what not to keep. Take your time and initialise yourself with new version of you. And this is a surprise because hardwares do not change when they reboot but humans do! and that’s why we don’t casually reboot!
