Just start (with purpose)

“Just start”: I know this term is referred to countless times by a productivity guru or some guy from the internet or the you might have seen countless times in reels; but I have never understood the logic behind it until I figured it out by my own maths. The first thing required for something is to have a purpose because without having a purpose, it’s meaningless to start something. My maths is very simple; it involves a game of chess (Chess is all about choices, and so is life).

Now, mathematically speaking, in chess, at the beginning of the game, there are a number of possibilities; I do not know the exact figure, but I do know that after just four plays, there are 200k possible moves, and after five plays, it becomes almost 486k. As you notice, it is doubling in nature; I am not plotting the curve, but it might follow 2^n or exponential too. So the fun thing is as you move, the possibilities are flooded in front of you. All you have to do is make choices, and not all the possibilities are good for us; that’s where the intelligence comes into the picture. It helps you make choices; sometimes it’s a gut feeling or just an impulse that makes bad choices, but it’s okay! We’ve got so many moves; it’s not just an 8x8 table. Life is so vast. Learn from each mistake and move on; make your best play.

In the end, it’s always the 20% of decisions that make 80% of your life. Go search it! So, pressures off, make that 20% as best as possible.
