Escape Velocity
The term is self-explanatory to some extent; but if I have to put it in layman’s terms, I would say the minimum velocity you must have to escape the Earth’s gravity, Now calculating the parameters for Earth, it is around 11.2 km/s. And shit! That number’s so huge, and this surely costs tons. However, if you want to hover around orbit (not complete escape), that figure drops to 7.8km/s because you will be in balance (with a condition that you will need to revolve around earth with higher angular velocity)
Now, why I am talking about these things is if you think you’ve reached the bottom of a shithole and if you want to lift yourself up, you have to make efforts, of course not as much as the ’escape velocity’ but some. Anything that needs lifting up costs energy, that’s for sure. So the example I have given about might make us miserable, but that’s an ideal example. That’s the standard. We do not have to make that much effort, but if decide to match that stardard who knows, we will find a balance, just like orbiting around the Earth.
